The Arcade Motion Dual  is a Sega Genesis Clone distributed in the United States by AtGames Digital Media.  Taking advantage of the Nintendo Wii craze, the concept behind this product was to create a game system with wireless “motion-sensing controllers”. This clone is interesting because in essence, it contains a Sega Genesis (megadrive) emulator that contains Several built-in games. For me, the selling point was the fact that I could play more games loaded on an SD Card.  I was able to purchase this system on sale for $15 USD at Walgreens.

What’s in the box:

  • The Console Unit
  • 2 Wireless Controllers
  • 1 AV Cable

The Software

  • 15 built in Genesis/MegaDrive Games
    1. Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
    2. Arrow Flash
    3. Bonanza Bros
    4. Columns III
    5. Columns
    6. Crackdown
    7. Dr Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
    8. Ecco
    9. Flicky
    10. Fatal Labyrinth
    11. Ristar
    12. Sonic Spinball
    13. Sonic the Hedgehog
    14. Sonic the Hedgehog 2
    15. The Ooze
  • 7 Interactive Sports Games
  • 18 Bonus Arcade Games

The Console

The Console is shaped in the signature sillhouette of Sonic’s Head, or the Sonic Team Logo, if you will. The console has an input for a power adaptor (not included) but you may use 4 X AA batteries. The You have a power button and a reset button on top. There is no slot for a physical Genesis/Mega Drive Cart, but even better, in the back of the console you have a slot for inserting an SD CARD that allows you to load all of your Genesis Roms in .Bin format.

How to play your Genesis/MegaDrive backups on the Arcade Motion Dual

In order to play your Genesis/MegaDrive roms on the Arcade Motion Dual, you have to load your roms in .Bin format. You can find Genesis games on Classicroms.net Make sure your SD card is under 2 GB or else you may experience the games freezing up. If you don’t have backups of your own games, you can find Genesis/MegaDrive roms on classicroms.net.
